Everyone needs a little extra sugar sometimes. This is probably truer today because of the current climate we’re in. Whether you’re literally or just metaphorically in need some extra sugar, we have the perfect thing to cheer you and your family right up. Especially if you’re prone to nostalgia and are obsessed with all things Hello Kitty.
Houston Hello Kitty fans are patiently awaiting the arrival of the Hello Kitty Café Truck set to arrive this month for two special stops. The bright pink decked out truck is jam-packed with everything you can imagine. From merchandise and priceless memorabilia to tiny tasty desserts like macarons, mini cakes, and cookies.
Some of the token items that are available for purchase include café lunchboxes with confetti popcorn, stainless steel thermals, t-shirts, mugs, keychains, and tote bags.
The truck debuted in 2014 and has since been touring the nation to delight Hello Kitty and Sanrio fans with their adorable confections. So far, the truck’s cross-country tour has seen it stop in over 80 cities, including Houston.
But this isn’t the first time the mobile fun truck has visited Houston. The Hello Kitty Café Truck was last here in October where it made two stops, the Woodlands Mall and First Colony Mall.
Fans of the beloved character can rejoice because it’ll be making another two stops in right here in Houston.
When and Where Will the Hello Kitty Truck Appear?
The first destination will be the Woodlands Mall on Saturday, July 18 from 10 am to 8 pm. Fans planning to make an appearance can park near the Acorn Entrance between Macy’s and Nordstrom where the café truck will be located.
The second stop will be at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood the following weekend on Saturday, July 25 from 10 am to 8 pm. The truck will be located near IT’SUGAR and the closed location of Charming Charlie.
There’s no better way to start some weekend fun in Houston than with a dose of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
Sanrio is encouraging all visitors who plan to join in on the fun to practice safe social distancing. For good measure, it might also be good to keep your face masks handy as well.
