Houston is proud to boast the largest Children’s Festival in the United States! Don’t miss this year’s Houston Children’s Festival, a fantastic family event March 31-April 1, benefiting Child Advocates, an agency that serves abused and neglected children.  The weekend schedule features 10 family adventure areas and 6 stages of fun featuring arts and crafts zone, sports zone, non-stop entertainment, live music, petting zoo, science experiments, celebrity appearances, and more.

Kids who love Disney will enjoy seeing Raini Rodriguez (Trish) from Disney’s Austin & Ally at a public Meet & Greet Saturday and James Maslow (James Diamond) of Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush Sunday at his Q&A chat, public Meet & Greet, and private Meet & Greet ($50 extra). Don’t miss the Ronald McDonald Show and Meet & Greet at the McDonald’s Family Fitness Stage. Houston PBS presents Buddy from Dinosaur Train and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Check out the complete schedule online.  Meet & Greet tickets are available for die-hard fans of James Maslow for $50 each.  Purchase these online, too.

Tickets are $10 person at the gate, with kids 3 and under free. Or pay just $8 per person by bringing a 2012 McDonald’s receipt and save $2 per ticket. One receipt is needed per person. Buy advance tickets online for $8 plus a $1.39 fee per ticket (so it’s actually a savings of .61 per ticket). Purchase online here.  This year’s event will be in downtown Houston from 10:30 am – 6:30 pm in the area around City Hall, Tranquility Park, and Sam Houston Park at 901 Bagby.

The Houston Children’s Festival has raised more than $4.4 million for Child Advocates.  Come support a great cause and have a blast at the same time!
