At Cougar Baseball Camps, young baseball payers sharpen their skills under the guidance of University of Houston coaches, current/former players, and high school coaches throughout the area. Campers rotate through drills emphasizing swinging mechanics and defensive skills and demonstrate their newfound-knowledge in pickup games. Ages 6 – 14

When: 9 am to 3 pm, 6/13 to 6/16 and 6/27 to 6/30

• UH players and staff teach the fundamentals of hitting and defense; campers are split into groups and rotate through stations.
• Day camp
• Good for ages: 6–14
• Duration: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
• In case of bad weather, the camp will be indoors
• Equipment:
  • What to bring: own glove, bat, helmet, batting gloves, baseball hat, turf/tennis shoes (cleats are optional), and catchers equipment (if needed for camp)
  • It’s strongly recommended to make sure camper’s name is clearly printed on all pieces of equipment that they bring to camp
  • All other equipment provided
  • Prohibited items: metal spikes
