Tai Chi on Wednesdays at Jones Park & Nature Center

Join us at Jones Park every Wednesday for a free Tai Chi class! Tai Chi is a historic, Chinese martial art practice shown to improve the overall quality of life. If you’re interested in trying a new healthy outdoor activity, this is the event for you! Bring your friends and family out to learn from the volunteer Tai Chi instructor, John Spencer.
The weekly class goes through the 24-step Yang form of Tai Chi. The class includes a range of motion exercises held in the outdoor classroom near the Jones Park Nature Center. Enjoy low-impact stretching, breathing, and more relaxing techniques. The activity of Tai Chi is also shown to reduce pain while improving reasoning ability, balance, and stability.
