girls of graceUpdate: Contest ended Sept. 12.

Teenage girls experience many struggles, heartache, and challenges as they navigate through life from age 13-19. From girl drama, to body image, boy issues and more. I have two teenage girls myself and have experienced this first-hand, for sure!

Thankfully, entertainers in the Christian community pulled together an event just for these girls. Girls of Grace is in its 11th year providing events throughout the country for teen girls and their moms. It’s latest tour is hitting Houston September 21 at Sugar Land Baptist Church. The full-day event features music by top Christian artists and guest speakers discussing issues relevant to these girls: body image, good health, being content with oneself, relationships, good choices, social media, fashion and other teen-related topics. It’s all about living past the lies of pop culture and discovering who they are in Christ.

The Houston event September 21 (9 am – 4:30 pm) features recording artists Dara Maclean and Point of Grace. Speakers include youth speaker Chris Wheeler (Director of Student Initiatives, Show Hope), inspirational author Annie Downs, and author Emily Freeman (Grace for the Good Girl: Letting Go of the Try-Hard Life and more). Tickets are available for $59 each.
