Thanks to Houston’s great year-round climate, we’re able to enjoy awesome outdoor events and festivals that bring the city to life. In May, one of Houston’s best festivals will unleash some of the best food, shopping, and live performances this city has to offer as St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church hosts the Houston Greek Fest. From May 16 to 19, St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church will transform into a lively celebration of Greek culture, music, art, and food. Come enjoy an authentic taste of Greek culture right here in Texas!
For over 20 years, Houston Greek Fest has hosted a celebration of Greek culture, history, and heritage with a full sensory experience the whole family can enjoy. Music and art will be on display at a Byzantine-style church, while a marketplace of Greek art, jewelry, and other imported gifts will be for sale alongside a children’s carnival area. There will be authentic Greek foods on hand, Greek beers to sample, and live performances from traditional Greek musicians and dancers.
Even better? A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House, a non-profit which provides assistance to families of seriously ill children. What do you have to lose?
Especially when you read the best news: you can get tickets for half-off through Groupon. Normal admission for two costs $6, but Groupon has tickets for two for just $3, tickets for four for $6, and tickets for six for just $9. Tickets are valid May 16 through May 19. There’s limited time remaining, so get yours before they’re gone.
If you love great food, music, and beer, you can’t miss one of best things to do in Houston each year: the four-day Houston Greek Fest at St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church.
