As many of us rush to the grocery store to buy up toilet paper and stock shelf food items some family pets are having to wait for their next meal. Pets are completely dependent on us for their food, especially during this time. The Houston Humane Society has dedicated their time to putting a bit less strain on families as the global pandemic continues.
This week the Houston Humane Society will begin offering free pet food through their curbside pantry. Because of the spread of the Coronavirus on our city, its pandemic has put some families in a position of need to feed their pets.
Starting Friday March 20, the Houston Humane Society will be available via their curbside pantry delivery service.
They will be extending free food to families in need of help to feed their pets.
According to a release by The Houston Human Society, the pantry service will be located at 14700 Almeda Road, Houston, Texas.
Executive Director of the Houston Humane Society, Gary Poon, stated a few of the reasons for their generous donations to families. He said, “We decided to open a pet pantry to help families needing assistance supplementing their pet’s food or supplies during this trying time.”
He also stated, “We are sincerely grateful for the partnership with Exclusive Furniture to reach people wanting to help across the Houston area.”
The pantry will be running from 2 pm to 4pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This will continue through the end of March. All Houstonians who are willing to donate to the food pantry are urged to do so. They can drop off the pet food at eight Exclusive Furniture locations.
The addresses to these Exclusive Furniture locations are:
- 25330 Northwest Fwy, Cypress, TX 77429
