Every June, members of the LGBTQIA+ community celebrate Pride month with various events in honor of the Stonewall riots of 1969, which was a major catalyst of the gay liberation movement. Celebrations pop up all month long, and can come in the form of small events, parties, and parades. Some of the usual events have been postponed thanks to the pandemic gumming up the works. Don’t worry, though, we’ve gathered up plenty of events for Pride 2021 in Houston!

Note: Allies are welcome to many of these events — it’s nice to show support!

Houston Pride Parade 2021

Unfortunately, the annual Houston Pride Parade has been postponed until fall. The city only recently started processing permits again, so we’re just going to have to wait until July to know more. On the bright side, the weather might actually be tolerable during the parade for a change! It’ll just make for a slightly spread out Pride 2021 in Houston.
