If you’re one of the thousands of people who have contributed to The Lion King grossing $1 billion globally at the box office, we hope you held on to your ticket stub. Now through August 25, turn in your ticket and receive a discount off admission at the Houston Zoo to help save the pride.
Every time you visit the Houston Zoo, you are helping save lions in the wild by supporting conservation efforts. And now you can get a little something back for your good deed – $3 off admission with your Lion King movie ticket stub. This discount brings adult tickets prices to only $16.95 and children’s tickets prices to $12.95. Senior tickets would cost $11.95.
Save Wild Lions From Home
To help save lions in the wild, the Houston Zoo partners with the Pride Lion Conservation Alliance. The African lion population has declined almost 90% in the last 50 years, with only 20,000 lions living in Africa today. The primary threat is illegal poachers. It’s abundantly clear that lions need a lot of help from good people to guarantee their survival. Visiting the Houston Zoo, where a portion of every ticket purchased goes toward animal conversation efforts, is an easy way for you to help ensure lions will thrive in the wild for generations to come.
So grab your movie ticket and head to the zoo to serenade our local pride with your own rendition of “I Just Can’t Wait to be King!” When you’re finished, head over to the Dinosaurs exhibit. And don’t forget – if you’re visiting on a Saturday or Sunday, the zoo has extended hours until 8 p.m.
The $3 discount is limited to six tickets per order. Tickets can only be purchased in person at the gate. It is not valid on previous purchases and cannot be combined with any other Houston Zoo discounts.
The Houston Zoo is located at 6200 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030. For more information about these and many other activities taking place this summer, visit their official website.
