Summer might be technically drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some icy summertime treats while the hot weather still lasts. Warm, summer-like temperatures last well into October here in Houston, meaning we get a few more weeks every year to enjoy the perks of great weather – perks like margaritas. Icy, fruity, tequila-filled margaritas are one of the best parts of living through Houston summers, and luckily Houstonians will get a chance to celebrate this king of beverages at the upcoming 7th annual Houston Margarita Festival. Can it get any better? What’s better than a festival full of margaritas?

I’ll tell you what’s better than a full-on marg fest: getting half-off tickets to a full-on marg fest., Houston’s top source for discounts on the best events, is offering tickets to the Houston Margarita Festival at half-off their normal face value. For just $7.50, you can taste what Houston’s most inventive mixologists have whipped up for this festival and enjoy all of the entertainment lined up to accompany your margs. General admission includes one complimentary margarita, a commemorative cup, and festival map.

In addition to allowing you to taste the best margaritas from around the area, the Houston Margarita Festival will feature a salsa dancing competition, a limbo contest, and of course the Best Margarita Competition. This contest has two divisions: mixologist and bar/restaurant. The winners of this competition will be chosen through a popular vote by festival attendees.

While an entire festival devoted to margaritas is awesome in its own right, the Houston Margarita Festival is put on each year for a good cause. To date, the margarita festival has supported more than 30 non-profit organizations in the Houston area including the HIV Resource Group, East Harris County Empowerment Council, University of Houston Engineers Society, Young Artistic Professions, and Houston Vital Signs. This year, the festival will benefit the Twi-Light Twelve Foundation scholarship fund.

The festival will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, from noon until 10:00 p.m. at The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park. Head on over to and get your half-off tickets to the Houston Margarita Festival while they still last.
