Texans know how to do summer. For some reason, summer nights seem to last longer in the Lone Star State, opening the doors for all manners of magic and fun. To make summer even better, 100.3 FM The Bull and Shiner Beer have teamed up with the Kemah Boardwalk to bring the popular Kickin’ It Country concert series back to Houston. Best of all? Kickin’ It Country is once again completely free.
“100.3 The Bull is so excited to team with Kemah Boardwalk to celebrate The Summer of The Bull,” said Bruce Logan, Vice-President of Programming. “The line-up is filled with exciting New Country stars. It’s going to be HOT.” The series kicked off this year on June 20 with Chase Rice performing songs from his new album Lambs and Lions featuring Top 10 Hits “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and “Ready Set Roll.” This week, David Lee Murphy lit up the stage with his current chart-topper “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” from his new album Zip Code. If you missed out on those two performances, don’t worry: there are more chances to kick it country at Kemah Boardwalk.
The concert series will take a break for July 4th but will return the following week. On July 11, country music sensation Russell Dickerson will light up Kemah Boardwalk with his #1 hit “Yours” from his smash debut album of the same name.
On July 18, Australian singer/songwriter Morgan Evans hits the Boardwalk stage along with his debut single “Kiss Somebody,” currently sitting at #15 on the charts. The next week, Kane Brown comes to Kemah Boardwalk with his #1 single “Heaven” and other popular tunes like “What If’s” and “Found You.”
On August 1st, the Kickin’ It Country concert series will conclude with a surprise artist. If you’re looking for some of the best free entertainment Houston has to offer this summer, look no further than the Kemah Boardwalk.
