Summer is just around the corner, and that means the 2019 festival season is upon us. To help welcome the warm weather, La Porte is hosting a brand new festival that will bring the best of what Texas has to offer to Main Street: live music, food trucks, cold beer, and more. This festival promises to be fun for the whole family right here in our own back yard!
The City of La Porte’s Summer Party on Main takes place on Saturday, June 22 from 4 pm to 9 pm. Things kick off at 4 pm with the local Tejano band Grupo Alcanzable, followed by classics from one of Houston’s most thrilling cover bands, The Slags, at7 pm.
Aside from live music, La Porte’s Summer Party on Main will also feature one of the best parts of summer: food trucks and beer. Many of Houston’s most popular food trucks will be on hand to dish out tacos, funnel cake, BBQ, and more. And what better way to wash down a taco than with an ice cold beer on a hot summer night? This year, the beer tent is even bigger and will feature a crowd-pleasing selection of domestic beers.
The Summer Party on Main will also feature a wide range of vendors selling locally made arts and crafts, specialty foods, and more. A special Kids Zone will feature a mechanical shark and plenty of games and activities to keep kids happy while dad waits in line at the beer tent.
The festival also features a Hottest Car Show of Summer throughout the day where attendees can get up close and personal with classic muscle cars, automobile oddities, and more.
