When you see Live Nation pop up in headlines, it’s usually a story about the ridiculous high ticket prices and heaps of extra fees that many event promoters pile on, making concert tickets out of reach for some people. However, to celebrate National Concert Week which runs April 30 to May 8, Live Nation is offering specially-priced $20 tickets to hundreds of upcoming summer shows, many of which will come right here to the Houston area. Looking for something to do this summer that won’t break the bank? Look no further – but better hurry, though. Supplies are limited and time is running out.
Live Nation’s $20 “All-In” tickets can get you in to see some of the hottest names in live music who are coming to Houston this summer including Hollywood Undead, Fleet Foxes, Sum 41, So Far Gone, Juanes, Hayley Kiyoko, Ghost, and Kamelot. Better hurry, though, tickets are on sale only through May 8.
If you’re willing to travel outside of the Houston area, there are dozens of other big-name acts you can see right here in Texas for the special price of just $20. Franz Ferdinand, Primus, Mastodon, and Built to Spill will all be in Dallas, Fall Out Boy will be in El Paso, and Jack White, Led Zeppelin 2, and Todrick Hall will be in Austin. Farther away, $20 can get you a ticket to see Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson, Counting Crows, David Blaine, Kevin Hart, or former Vice-President Joe Biden.
Despite climbing ticket prices in light of the rise of mega-promoters like Live Nation, the live music industry continues to grow. The American live music industry accounts for around $10 billion alone, and is expected to reach close to $12 billion by 2021. Could cheaper Live Nation prices be a more common sight in the future?
