animal shelter helpThe Montgomery County Animal Shelter needs help with 200 animals that need adopting or emergency fosters. The doors to the facility are currently closed but people are encouraged to sign up.

Although the stay at home order has been put in place amid the coronavirus outbreak in the Houston area, the Montgomery County Animal Shelter is still able to assist with adoptions.

There are nearly 200 animals onsite at the animal shelter that are looking for folks to adopt or sign up as emergency fosters.

The shelter wrote on their website about the matter. They stated, “We can accommodate adoption, foster or rescue within the shelter, curbside, and delivery or try to accommodate whatever needs or request you may have to make it happen.”

The shelter has stated that its priority is to reduce the number of animal inventory among the pandemic. It wants to get as many animals as possible into loving homes.

To adopt with The Montgomery County Animal Shelter or MCAS, you can click here to schedule a time. The animal shelter is also currently waiving adoption fees to help stop the spread of the virus via cash handling.
