Mother’s Day 2018 is fast approaching, so don’t forget to spoil the mom in your life Sunday, May 13. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of Mother’s Day freebies, deals, places to brunch or have dinner, and other things to do.

Food (Mother’s Day Brunch and Dinners)

Boston Market

For those looking to treat Mom to a home style meal on Mother’s Day (and every day in May), guests can purchase a whole rotisserie chicken for $2.99 with purchase of any family meal (valid May 1 – 31). Boston Market is also hosting a Mom’s Month sweepstakes, giving away one prize per day in May – from Boston Market gift cards and Coca-Cola prize packages to a grand prize family vacation for four to Great Wolf Lodge (winner selected on Mother’s Day). Churrascos

Mother’s Day brunch will be served from 9 am to 4 pm, and includes a delicious menu of Peruvian beef tenderloin, pollo ajillo, and more. Moms get a $20 gift certificate to use on their next visit. $39.95 per guest.

City Acre Brewing Co.

This brunch buffet features a delicious menu that includes eggs benedict two ways, bacon, breakfast potatoes, mac and cheese, bread pudding, and more. Plus there will be outdoor games for the kids. Brunch will be served from 10 am to 4 pm with a menu of 40+ items. There’s also live entertainment, animal encounters, and other special activities. Kids 2 and under eat free. Tickets are between $20-$40.

The Dunlavy

All El Tiempo locations will have brunch hours as well as their regular menu on Mother’s Day.

Fogo de Chao

Moms who dine on Mother’s Day at Fogo de Chao will receive a card towards a complimentary lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch on their next visit. Also, kids 6 and under always eat free, and children 7-12 are half off every day. In Houston, Fogo de Chao is located at 8250 Westheimer.

Laurenzo’s

Enjoy Mother’s Day brunch at Laurenzo’s on Washington Ave. from 11 am until 1 pm, and then a great dinner menu until 9 pm.

Macaroni Grill

On Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 13), all Macaroni Grill locations will be opening early at 9 a.m., offering a special brunch (until 4 p.m.) and prix fixe menus (one of four new entrées and a special sweet treat for $25 per person) all day. All guests will also receive a coupon for 20% off their next visit (from May 15 – May 31), plus all restaurants will feature a special Mothers’ Day backdrop for family photos. The local Macaroni Grill is located in Spring.

MFAH Cafe

The cafe at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston will host a Mother’s Day brunch featuring crab cakes, prime ribs, and a whole lot more. Tickets are $28 for adults and $12.50 for children 12 and under. Brunch is served from 11:30 am to 3 pm.

Mi Luna

Tapas! This brunch buffet features a broad Spanish tapas menu you won’t want to miss from 11 am to 4 pm. Reservations required.

Tony Mandola’s Gulf Coast Kitchen

Mother’s Day brunch will be served from 10 am to 3 pm, and then a regular dinner menu, including seasonal specials, until 9 pm. Reservations strongly suggested.
