GAME ON is your opportunity to enjoy a Houston Zoo escape room style experience. It will require you to use your wits to solve challenging puzzles with a team of clever friends and family.

This 21 and up experience, presented by TXU Energy, will take place after hours, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. The event will be held on September 10 and October 15 from 6 to 9:30 PM. Read more to know more about the event and ticket details.

Houston Zoo Escape Room Style Experience – Schedule

Game 4 – September 10

Cryptic Cats: Nature’s biggest cats use strength, speed, and smarts to survive in the wild. Players will do the same as they prowl the Zoo solving cat-themed puzzles.

  • *Giraffe Feeding, 6 – 7 PM
  • Giraffes Keeper Talk, 6 – 6:30 PM
  • Lions Keeper Talk, 6:30 – 7:00 PM
  • Ambassador Animal Keeper Talk at Cypress Circle, 6:30 – 7 PM

Game 5 – October 15

Tooth & Claw: Nocturnal creatures are misunderstood. They aren’t bad. This edition of GAME ON focuses on biodiversity by shining a light on bats, bugs, and wolves.

  • *Giraffe Feeding, 6 – 7 PM
  • Bug House Keeper Talk, 7 – 7:30 PM
  • Bat Monitoring Keeper Talk at Texas Wetlands, 7- 7:30 PM
  • Dingo Ambassador Animal Keeper Talk at Cypress Circle, 6:30 – 7 PM

*Tickets will have to be purchased for giraffe feedings.

Ticket Price: $35 per person, teams of 2-6 people. Click here to register.

Please Note

  • Adults 21+ only
  • No on under 21 will be permitted to attend the experience
  • First timed ticket entry at 6 – 6:30 PM
  • Last timed ticket entry at 7 – 7:30 PM
  • You will be able to enjoy the Zoo until 9:30 PM
  • Entries will remain limited in capacity and staggered in 30-minute intervals to maintain social distancing
  • You can present the digital ticket on your mobile device to scan for entry


The main parking lot is located at 6200 Hermann Park Drive. Parking will be available throughout the Hermann Park parking areas.
