Can you imagine a puppy being anything but cute? Well, be prepared to be amazed and then scared when you meet the furry puppies and pets at this new Halloween pup crawl coming up at the Houston Arboretum!

A Pup Crawl and Pet Expo has been organized by the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center on Sunday, 10 October 2021 but with a twist. Centered on all things scary, the expo will take a rather spooky turn with its Halloween-themed outdoor experience.

What to expect at the Halloween Pup Crawl 

Dress your puppies up in scary costumes at the Halloween pup crawl.

But what do you exactly do at the Halloween Pup Crawl and what makes its scary?

At this event, guests can bring their pets from home dressed up in scary costumes and horror cosplay with a chance to win exciting prizes!

So dig into your pets’ wardrobes, see what fits and make up a perfectly fearsome costume and act for this pawsome contest!

The family friendly event will also open up the the Arboretum trails for visitors where you can enjoy a nice stroll followed by brews from the Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

There are commemorative pup crawls in store as well which you can get from the vendors at the expo.

Halloween Pup Crawl at Houston Arboretum – Event Guidelines

Furry friends will also be up for adoption at this pet expo.

If you want to take a furry friend home with you, there is a pet adoption facility available onsite. Do note that all proceeds from the expo will be directed towards the conservation and education programs of the Houston Arboretum and BARC, the City of Houston’s animal shelter and adoption center.

All activities at the expo will be held outdoors and guests are encouraged to leash their pets for the safety of guests and other dogs during the event. 

Aside from the pup crawl expo, the arboretum and its five miles of trails will be open to visitors from morning till dusk.

How much: $40 for adults aged 21 and above

 

COVID-19 protocols will be in place at this event so you are encouraged to stay home if you are feeling unwell or have coronavirus symptoms. Masks are not required for outdoor events but there will be social distancing in place.
