About the Tall Ship ELISSA
Based in our very own Galveston, Texas, the Tall Ship ELISSA is one of the oldest ships sailing on the seas today. Thanks to the Galveston Historical Foundation, who saved ELISSA from a scrapyard in Greece, ELISSA was completed restored into the historic ship that she is today.
With more than 40,000 visitors annually, the Tall Ship ELISSA is pretty popular. Fun fact: she also serves as the official Tall Ship of Texas and is part of the National Historic Landmarks.
