The holiday season is here again, and it’s time to add The Christmas Train in Alvin to your family’s Christmas traditions. What to Expect From The Christmas Train in Alvin, Texas near Houston

The ride Christmas Train ride includes a modern retelling of the traditional Christmas story and Nativity. In addition to the main attraction, there is the lighted walking trail with tons of fun photo opportunities, The Thompsonville Train Village and scavenger hunt and Letters to Santa are also offered free of charge.

Returning with a new show for 2021 is The Great Elf Show. This free show is offered every hour on the half hour beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Depot. This live interactive stage show is just the thing to help get you in the Christmas spirit! Parking at the venue is also free.

Santa is in residence in his lodge each night from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Photo purchase is required in the lodge. Digital prints are available for $10 each.

Santa’s Speedway is available for guests 52″ and up. These single rider go-karts are located just off the walking trail and are $7 per ride. Tickets for the go-karts are purchased at the gate before entry and do not require reservations.

Delicious Treats: A Christmas outing wouldn’t be complete without delicious treats and The Christmas Train has lots to choose from. Big Al’s Pizza Parlor serves delicious pizza that is made when you order. Java is the spot to find seasonal coffees, hot cocoa, cookies and ice cream. The concession stand features nachos, chicken strips, french fries, churros, popcorn and cotton candy.

December 9 – Cookies for Cans Food Drive (bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry and get a free cookie) Performance by Kennedy Dance Studio. 

December 16 – Cookies for Cans Food Drive (bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry and get a free cookie) Performance by Precision Dance Academy.

Christmas Train in Alvin, near Houston – Dates, Tickets & More

When: Select nights starting from November 26th to December 23
