There is a brand-new temporary exhibit that you and your family can enjoy at the Houston Zoo! TXU Energy’s presentation of Undersea Discovery provides visitors with the thrilling opportunity to get a close-up view of some of the ocean’s most impressive inhabitants.
Visitors have the opportunity, beginning now and continuing until September 6th, to walk through life-sized replicas of the megalodon’s jaws, get up close and personal with the Japanese spider crab, which has the largest leg span of any arthropod, and observe the incredible oceanic manta ray, which has wings that span 18 feet!

These enormous animated marine animals have never before been seen elsewhere in the world, and they are sure to astound every member of the family. Guests will learn, as they travel through the experience, about the dangers that their wild counterparts face and the steps that can be taken to protect them.
With the purchase of an Undersea Discovery Add-On Pass, visitors will have the opportunity to observe the marine life that lives in the deep sea. This pass grants the holder access to the TXU Energy presents Undersea Discovery exhibit as often as they like, as well as a souvenir conservation bracelet and an unrestricted pass to ride the Wildlife Carousel.
Tickets to the Undersea Discovery Exhibit at the Houston Zoo: Members of the Zoo can purchase the Undersea Discovery Add-On Pass for $7.95, while non-members must pay $8.95. Tickets for the exhibit only cost $4.95 and include one visit through the TXU Energy presents Undersea Discovery exhibit. These tickets are available to both members and non-members of the aquarium.
