Summer fun is ready for take-off! Join on May 28 – 30 for special activities, tours, and exhibits for all ages! Starting on Friday, you can celebrate Memorial Day weekend at the Lone Star Flight Museum with plenty of hands-on activities for kids, but the best Memorial Day events are on the day itself. Starting at 10 a.m., the museum will be running free tours for the Douglas DC-3 vintage airliner and the Howard 250, a 1950s corporate aircraft. The museum will also be offering free flight simulators, letting guests get the chance to feel what it’s like to fly a plane firsthand.

Buffalo Soldier National Museum Memorial Day Celebration
Save the date! Celebrate Memorial Day with us at our free event. From noon to 4 PM, enjoy tours, photos with troopers, and Living History performances each hour (limit of 35 people per show). On the Plaza (outdoors): Live DJ, veteran-owned business vendors, kids’ activities: Encampment, and a supply drive for Ukraine.

A Night To Remember – Patriotic Concert at Sugar Land Town Square
The Exchange Clubs of Sugar Land and Fort Bend and all of the Clubs of the Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast District present an exciting patriotic concert at Sugar Land Town Square on the Memorial Day weekend Saturday evening of May 28, 2022, from 7:30- 9 pm.
Director Susan Mele and Producer Steve Stewart present a stirring and inspiring program including:
• Stirring brass music by the Fort Bend Brass
• John Holiday, recent star of TV’s popular series The Voice will be performing
• The Fort Bend Boy Choir with Director Bill Adams and up to 60 performers
• Plus Ballet Grace directed by Cookie Joe, performing a stirring visual rendering of Bill & Kim Nash’s IN GOD WE STILL TRUST
To help those less fortunate, attendees may bring non-perishable food to be collected and taken to a local food pantry.

Celebrate the official start to summer at the annual Memorial Day event in The Woodlands! The Sunday event pays tribute to all military servicemen and women who lost their lives while serving the United States. The festival features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment, and more at Town Green Park. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display* choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack. Concessions will be available for purchase. Memorial Day Ceremony at Sugar Land Memorial Park
Each Memorial Day, the community is invited to join us as we pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The event will commence at 10 a.m. with a one-hour patriotic musical presentation. There will be a vehicle exhibit presented by the Sixth Cavalry Historical Association and other vendor booths including military donation stations, flower booths, etc.
