Hey, Houstonians — are you looking for an out-of-the-box activity that makes for a great afternoon? Head to The Health Museum for a day of fun that’s centered around wellness education.
In celebration of their new exhibit, GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes, their next “Make a Day of It” event will stay within the theme of cycling.
Organizers will take participants on a scenic bike ride on BCycle bikes, with the promise of a picnic in the park to follow. The Health Museum will be providing all accommodations, providing guests with the option of vegetarian and non-vegetarian picnic baskets. Options include a charcuterie plate for two, a cheese, hummus, and veggie plate for two, or turkey or veggie wraps. Admission also includes access to the exhibit, as well as BCycle vouchers. The bike vouchers are good for a total of 30 minutes; however, more time can be added at any time.
To purchase tickets, gather more information, or get clear on social distancing guidelines, please refer to The Health Museum or call 713-521-1515. You can “make a day of it” with The Health Museum during any of the following dates and times:
Saturday, November 7 at 12-3 pm
Saturday, November 28 at 12-3 pm
Saturday, November 29 at 12-3 pm
If you’re unable to participate in this fun-filled program, feel free to stop by the new exhibit on your own time! GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes will be on view throughout May 19, 2020.
The Houston Health Museum is open to all ages and is located at 1515 Hermann Dr., Houston, Texas 77004. Enjoy the great weather in a refreshing, new way and take home some knowledge as well!
