Texas Folklife’s 31st Annual Accordion Kings & Queens will feature CJ Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band. This concert will be broadcast courtesy of Miller Outdoor Theatre on Friday, November 20, 2020. This virtual concert series streamed in conjunction with Miller Outdoor Theatre is sponsored by HEB.

All of your favorite Texas accordion genres will be presented during the concert. You’ll be able to enjoy Cajun, conjunto, polka, zydeco, and more!

The main event will be the performance by CJ Chenier. Chenier is the son of Clifton Chenier, affectionately known as the “King of Zydeco.” Chenier continued building on his father’s legacy by creating bayou beats that are mixed with some funk, blues, and more traditional zydeco tunes.

This is a virtual concert, brought to you by Miller Outdoor Theatre. You’ll be able to watch from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. This concert does not offer any in-person attendance.
