Retailers are helping you chill out and save money on Tax Day 2012. Here are some free and cheap deals in Houston on Tuesday, April 17, 2012:

Whole Foods Market: Whole Foods Market is giving free 12 oz. Allegro coffee plus a free full-sized biscotti from Irene’s Bakery. This freebie is available from 8 am – 10 am April 17 at all Whole Foods locations in Texas and other Southwest states, per my Whole Foods email (that has no link).

Seattle’s Best: Who doesn’t want more free coffee after late nights finishing up taxes? Houston residents can get a free 12 oz. cup of brewed coffee at Seattle’s Best Coffee tomorrow, April 17.  If you can’t make it to a cafe, just claim the Great American Coffee Refund on the Seattle’s Best Coffee Facebook page for a free sample of Seattle’s Best Coffee that will be delivered right to your mailbox.

Clay’s Restaurant: Clay’s is sharing a 15% discount on all meals April 17 as a Tax Relief on Tax Day. Just print the image or show it on your mobile phone to get the discount. Clay’s Restaurant is located in West Houston at 17717 Clay Road between Highway 6 and Barker Cypress.

Chili’s: Enjoy a free appetizer or dessert April 16-18 (with purchase of an adult entree) as Chili’s rewards adults with this Tax Day freebie. Print coupon online here.

Entertainment Book: Lowest price of the season! Today and tomorrow (April 17-18) the 2012 Entertainment Book is on sale for just $10.40 each plus $2.49 shipping.

Sonic: It’s happy hour prices ALL DAY at Sonic for Tax Day, April 17. That translates to half-price drinks and slushes! Check online for the location nearest you.

MaggieMoo’s and Marble Slab Creamery: Get a free scoop of their new frozen yogurt April 17, 4 pm – 7 pm as part of its “Yogurt Yo-bate” promotion. A coupon is required… The frozen treat retailers are giving away Lemon Creme, Birthday Cake, and Forest Berry. Find the coupon for a free scoop on the Marble Slab Facebook and MaggieMoo’s Facebook — under the coupon tab. Only one MaggieMoo’s left in the Houston area, unfortunately. Cinnabon: Get two free Cinnabon Classic Bites April 17, 6 pm – 8 pm, at Cinnabon as part of its Tax Day Bites campaign. No purchase necessary, while supplies last. Not valid at airport or travel plazas, according to the fine print.

P.F. Chang’s: Order take out (or dine in) at P.F. Chang’s April 17 and get 15% off your entire bill for its Tax Relief promotion. Discount does not apply to alcoholic beverages or happy hour food and beverage items.

Arby’s: Get free Value curly fries on Tuesday, April 17, as part of Arby’s tax day relief. A coupon is required. Head to Arby’s Facebook page beginning April 13 to print the coupon. You’ll also have a chance to win a $5,000 tax relief.

McCormick & Schmick’s:  It’s an extended happy hour April 17, 3:30 pm – 11 pm at McCormick & Schmick’s. Celebrate the end of tax season with bar bites from $2.95 – $5.95 and special tax day drinks including the Rummy Refund, Uncle Sam, and the Bloody Mary Tax Code.

RA Sushi: This sushi bar & restaurant has its own extended happy hour on Tax Day Tuesday April 17 from 3 pm to close at CityCentre and Highland Village locations.
