Normally, April 15th is one of the most stressful days of the year as we all rush to get our taxes in and pay Uncle Sam his dues. However, with the load of stress the nation is currently enduring, the government has decided to give us a break. It’s official – the tax filing date has been pushed to July 15th.
At @realDonaldTrump’s direction, we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.

While the tax payment date had already been pushed out 90 days, the filing date had remained the same. With this new update this morning, Americans can officially put off the stress of tax filing as well, with no worries of interest or penalties. Americans can still request extensions as well.
However, US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin did say that Americans who expect a refund should go ahead and file to take advantage. “I encourage all taxpayers who may have tax refunds to file now to get your money,” he said in a written statement.
