Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar is coming to Wortham Theater Center’s Cullen Theater this month to put on a performance you don’t want to miss. Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar was first published in 1969 and has since sold more than 43 million copies around the world. The book’s colorful, hand-painted tissue paper illustrations and simple stories have taught several generations of children about the natural world and all of the beauty it contains.

This timeless classic is brought to life in this new stage show created by Jonathan Rockefeller. The breathtaking puppetry of the show turns Carle’s illustrations and stories into true magic for the whole family. The show is going on a limited tour of the US, and Houston is lucky enough to be one of the cities to host this mesmerizing production.

The show will be performed at the Cullen Theater on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
