What: As Moody Gardens transforms into Holiday in the Gardens, it has become a holiday tradition as families throughout the region are offered a very diverse range of attractions to complement the many holiday activities and displays at Moody Gardens. A holiday feast, train rides, an outdoor ice rink, and the Arctic Slide are all available to visitors.
The Moody Gardens Hotel will host an amazing new Cirque Joyeux Dinner and Show as well as the New Year’s Palooza Family Celebration, in addition to seasonal 3D movies and Rudolph 4D.

Washed Ashore: Art to Save The Sea
What: The goal of the touring art exhibition Washed Ashore, which will be on display at Galveston Island this winter, is to inform the public about the dangers of plastic pollution in the world’s waterways.
Massive, breathtaking sculptures created by Washed Ashore are made completely of beach plastic and intended to show the extent of plastic pollution in our oceans and waterways.
Galveston’s Washed Ashore event resembles an island-wide treasure hunt. Visitors can look for the 20 or more works of art as well as the unusual objects concealed in each sculpture.
