Check out a holiday show at one of our local churches. Nearly every church is hosting a Christmas Candlelight Service, play, or musical on Christmas Eve.

Get a taste of the Gift That Keeps On Giving. This free, one- hour session is the perfect way to connect with your loved ones. Book your free party and enjoy the theatrical bonding experience.

Going on now through Christmas Eve, you and the little ones can engage in different winter-themed activities, play games, make crafts, and even snag a free photo with Santa.  Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop is set up at every Bass Pro in the nation. Check their schedule to see when Santa will be there!

Get properly snowed in Memorial City. Going on now through Christmas Eve, Snowfall at the Square trucks in tons of real snow. Check their schedule for days and times.

Be a part of St. Francis Episcopal Church’s Christmas Eve Nativity Pageant. Children from toddler – 5th grade can participate. There will be two pageants: 2 pm and 5 pm services. The church will provide costumes. Check with them for participation.

Jingle Junction is a wonderfully decorated winter wonderland at Cypress United Methodist Church. The entire front lawn is decked out in multiple Christmas displays which make the perfect photo- op. Bring your camera- the event is free and open to the public every day during daylight hours.

If you’re looking for last- minute Christmas gifts, there will be plenty of shops open with cheap or free festivities. Check out the Pop- Up Christmas Market at Park Avenue in Old Town Square League City. They’re open Christmas Eve from 10 am to 4 pm.



Our Theatre District is one of the best in the nation and there is no shortage of awesome plays to attend. Get a dose of art and culture while celebrating on Christmas Eve. Plays happening now are A Christmas Carol, Peter Pan on Stage, The Nutcracker, and more.

Lights of Tejas includes hay rides, synchronized lights, a fireworks show, and more. There are events and activities for kids large and small. Admission is just $9!

The Ice at Discovery Green is open every day, including holidays! Watching the skaters is always free, or you can try it out yourself starting at $11 for admission and $4 for skate rentals. On Christmas Eve, they are open from 11 am to 7 pm.

The Children’s Museum of Houston is having extended holiday hours now through January 7th. Spend Christmas Eve playing with real snow, having Cookies with Santa, and more. They’re open from 10 am to 8 pm and there are tons of new, Christmas- themed activities to entertain you. All activities are included with the price of admission.

Get a free Christmas movie, free popcorn, soft drinks, and hours of fun at Fun Plex. All activities are included with the price of admission. The movies run from 2- 6 pm on Christmas Eve.

The North Houston Skate Park is doing 12 days of Christmas with free raffles and giveaways. The raffle is totally free with admission and they’re open from 5- 9 pm on Christmas Eve!
