The Tomball German Festival is going on right now! This fun festival is back and will be held from 4th June to 6th June.

What is the Tomball German Festival?

The Tomball German Heritage Festival takes place twice a year on Tomball’s historic downtown streets at 201 S. Elm St., Main St. (FM 2920), and Market St. It’s a music/street festival honoring German and ethnic heritage with four stages of live music, special contests, ethnic and festival food, beer, wine, street vendors, all kinds of German souvenirs and clothing, arts, crafts, antiques, a Heritage Center, carnival, pony ride, petting zoo, strolling music makers, street performers, and much more. Admission, parking, and the shuttle are all complimentary!

Who can Attend?

This festival is open to everyone, and you don’t have to be German to enjoy it! The festival began sixteen years ago with one Oompah band on a flat-bed trailer and has grown into an annual institution in Tomball and one of the top music/street events in Texas. Every year on the final weekend in March, festival-goers don their Lederhosen and Dirndls to “Go German” for the area’s major event, which honors the heritage of the original German families who founded this area in 1840. To put it another way, there’s a lot to celebrate in this section of Texas if you’re of German descent!

Highlight of the Tomball German Festival 2021

The Altstadt Brewery in Fredericksburg, Texas, is a major brand for the festival since it embodies real German beer and culture. Altstadt will have a Brewmaster (Craig Rowan) on hand for a special presentation to talk about the Brewery, German-Style beers, and German brewing processes, as well as offer tappings and tastings. The Brewmaster will be available to talk to people on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12:00 pm
