When it is summertime in Texas, enjoyment knows no boundaries. The outdoor Superfine Summer Picnics Series presented by The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center is an apt example that features the delight of enjoying picnics amidst Arboretum’s lovely surroundings and the convenience of getting all the picnic supplies in one place. You just need to show up and have fun!
The series will be held on the Arboretum grounds on eight Saturdays from July 10 through August 28. All you have to do is visit the venue, enjoy the delicacies and libation, and return the supplies when you are done with them. Basically (un)Plug & Play!!!
Picnic at Houston Arboretum – Dates, Timings, and Cost
As mentioned earlier, the event will span from July 10 through August 28 across eight Saturdays. Accordingly, the event dates include July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21, and August 28, from 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM.
The cost is USD 65 per person for members, and for nonmembers, it is USD 75 (per picnic basket for two to four people. People 21 and above will get a complimentary Saint Arnold 12-pack. The event requires advance registration, and bookings close on the Wednesday before each picnic. In the case of rains, registrations can be moved to a later picnic date.
The dress code for the event is casual and comfortable attire. However, ensure you have bug spray also. Parking is available at the 610 Entrance and Woodway Entrance to the Arboretum. Members park their vehicles free, and nonmembers pay USD 5.
