At Sable Gate, not only can you sample their fine creations, but you can blend your own personal bottle! This winery is owned by couple Szilvia and Bob with help from their twin daughters. Szilvia was raised on a vineyard in Hungary and Bob has traveled the world tasting local wines in over 50 countries! Together, they offer wine tastings, bottle delivery, a loyalty club, and bistro eats at their family Houston winery.
Tasting flights are available every day from opening until 7 pm, after which they are only available with an appointment.

Nice Winery offers a Guided Tasting Experience which is not your average wine tasting in Houston! Sit down with one of their knowledgeable winery team members to learn about their wines, winemaking process, plus enjoy the perfect food pairing. They host the wine tastings in a cozy and intimate living room-like setting so you’ll feel right at home.

Have you ever heard of an urban winery? This unique concept works with grape growers and viticulturists who send them the fruit to produce wine inside the city. From crushing, pressing, fermenting, barreling, and bottling, it’s all done right in-house! You can swing by to sample their wine by the glass, bottle, or flights of three half glasses. The expert team will talk you through your choices and explain their wine-making process. They’re working on expanding their tasting room and will be offering food pairings soon!

This wine tasting is at ErmaRose Winery in Katy, Texas, one of the wineries near Houston. Another family-run winery, this one specializing in fruit wine with an elegant taste. With options such as Banana Wine, Blueberry Wine, Mango Wine, and many more, you’ll definitely want to swing by and try out one of their wine tasting options. They offer three different packages ranging from four to eleven pours plus they have private wine tastings available if you’re looking for something a bit more private.
Walk-ins are welcome but reservations, which can be made online, are required for the Max Tasting (11 pours) and groups with more than 12 people. For private wine tastings, contact them ahead of time so you can customize the private event with options of food, music, and wine markers appearance.

In Spring, you’ll find this wine vineyard near Houston called Wild Stallion Vineyards. Owners Larry and Karen Cress fell in love with the idea of owning a vineyard and making wine while traveling through Italy, France, Australia, and New Zealand. Now, they offer wine tastings of their own creations from Wednesday to Saturday. You can try a glass, a bottle, or a flight with options such as the Sweet Flight, the Dry Flight, or the Specialty Flight. If those aren’t your style, you can build your own!

The Clos Dubreuil winery is located in Bordeaux, and they are among the first in history to produce both a Chardonnay and Bordeaux. Eads Family Vineyards offers tastings of the Clod Dubreuil wine portfolio at their winery in Houston. They provide a sommelier, wine dinners, private events, and even travel packages to the Bordeaux wine region.
