This Father’s Day, kids in Houston have a chance to celebrate with their dads at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, with a dash of magic!
Planning a special Father’s Day for 2021? The Magical Dad’s Day at The Woodlands Children Museum is worth checking out.
This is not your average ‘arts and crafts with the dads’ day, but some completely exciting and mind boggling hours full of illusions, tricks and magic shows.
Explaining why the museum has chosen to mark Saturday, June 19 with magic, Angela Colton, the museum’s Executive Director said, “Magic offers the opportunity for families to experience wonderment and illusion together and to explore creative ways to make the impossible possible. Through the art of magic, children can learn sequential thinking, communication, and build self-confidence.”
Father’s Day At Woodlands Children’s Museum
To kickstart the magical day, families can attend a performance by Monty the Magician as part of the The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s Father’s Day programming. The morning show will start off Father’s Day with pizzazz when Monty, an expert showman will step on stage with some intriguing tricks and share the art of magic with the assembled crowd.
Dads can also attend story time with the kids in the morning in a reading of This Book Is Magic by Ashley Evanson. The interactive performance is a story about a bunch of children who use their imagination and fingerplay to do magic but sometimes the tricks don’t quite turn out as expected!
With fathers in tow, kids can also attend a totally amazing performance by Professor Hughdini next, who has been known for dazzling Houstonians with his up-close illusions and comedy for the last three decades. This Magical Dad’s Day, the show by Hughdini is a great spectacle for audiences of all ages to enjoy and participate in.
And in all this excitement, don’t forget to make a Father’s Day gift. At The Muse Art Bar, families can work together, or kids can work by themselves, on creating magic hats and nuts and bolts to present to the dads at the end of a fun filled day.
