On November 20th, the Woodlands Township plans on welcoming back locals and visitors to their legendary ice rink that’s become a staple for winter fun.
The Woodlands Town Center offers many amenities; however, The Ice Rink is always a crowd favorite. This massive facility features high-quality sound and lighting systems, concession stands, and plenty of room to hang out with loved ones off the ice. In addition, the rink also offers helmet and walker rentals, as well as reservations for private parties or corporate events.
This winter wonderland has served as a place to practice holiday tradition for many local residents over the years. The facility and its fans alike are happy to announce its reopening after much speculation.
Like every other public facility, this seasonal space has had to face uncertainty due to the pandemic. Luckily, with diligent planning, The Ice Rink has come up with a system to ensure the safety of its visitors without keeping their doors shut until next year.
Visitors will be screened upon entry, requiring a mask and passing temperature to skate. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to travel in smaller groups as a way to practice social distancing. Once in the building, guests will be required to follow space restrictions and guidelines. Finally, the staff plans to follow through with rigorous cleaning procedures.
Nothing is guaranteed in these uncertain times; however, The Ice Rink plans to accommodate its fans for as long as it possibly can and hopes to remain open through January 18, 2021.
Daily hours will be from 3-9 pm Mon-Thurs, 3-11 pm Fri, 10 am – 11 pm Sat, and 12-7 pm Sun. There will also be special holiday hours on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and MLK Day.
