Get ready for loads of family fun at Harvest Fest, a free fall festival Saturday, November 11, 11 am – 3 pm. Located in Richmond, the annual event at Harvest Green community features a large farmers market, farm tours, rock climbing wall, pumpkin patch, pie-eating contest, animal adoptions, sack races and other games plus a DJ spinning tunes. What’s so unique is the neighborhood grows produce on its own 18-acre Village Farm. This produce will be available for purchase on the Harvest Green Veggie Wagon, as well.

“Our residents have an opportunity to work alongside professional farmers tending to the crops we grow,” said Shay Shafie, general manager for Harvest Green. “They help plant, weed and harvest, so Harvest Fest is as much about celebrating their hard work as it is about introducing our unique way of life to the greater Houston community.”

Harvest Fest is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the fall weather. Families can take farm tours and learn more about growing Thanksgiving essentials such as pumpkin, squash and corn. Don’t miss photo opps on the tractor or with Harvest Green’s Nubian goats and chickens. Adults will enjoy the model home tours, food trucks and have the opportunity to purchase local beer and wine. Food trucks attending the festival include Renegade Kitchen Food Truck, Hangreek, Wileys Tacos, Craft Burger Bus, The Cuban Spot, Cousins Maine Lobster and The Cool Bus.

Harvest Fest is located at Harvest Green model home park, 618 Vineyard Hollow Court in Richmond.
