La Guadalupana Cafe & Bakery– This Mexican restaurant serves all the traditional plates but delicious conchas, pastries, and more. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but get there early or be prepared to wait.
PondiCheri– This restaurant near River Oaks offers Mumbai street food and small plates. Their fusion breakfast options are delicious and healthy.
Buffalo Grille– This Houston favorite has two locations- one on Weslayan and one in Woodway. They aren’t the cheapest restaurant on the menu but their massive comfort food portions will leave you with leftovers, so it’s a great value for how much you get.
Telwink-This Inner-loop diner will make you feel right at home. They serve American classics plus omelettes and belgian toast. You can get a great meal for under $10, making it a staple among cheap breakfast spots in Houston.
Baby Barnaby’s– There are a few locations around town which serve breakfast. All of their breakfast plates are delicious and under $11.
Villas Arcos– This East Houston iconic restaurant serves up some of the best tacos around. Don’t miss their weekend additions: Barbacoa and Menudo.
Avalon Diner– This American diner has four locations around Houston (both inside and outside the loop) and serves up classics with delicious extras. The caramel, banana & pecan challah french toast is to die for.
Mas Taco– This Memorial-area restaurant has cheap, delicious tacos. Their menu is basic because it doesn’t need anything more than that!
Omelette & Waffle Restaurant– This cozy restaurant on Beechnut has all the traditional breakfast dishes, plus crepes, enormous omelettes and waffles, and crunchy hash-browns.
House of Pies– With three locations in Houston (inside and outside the loop) and pies served all day, what more could you be looking for? Plus, they’re open 24 hours a day, making it a great spot to grab cheap breakfast in Houston at any time of the day or night.
El Rey Taqueria– This Cuban and Mexican restaurant offers traditional breakfast plates with a Cuban twist. Their plantains make the plate! They have three locations around Houston.
Taquerias Arandas– Some of the best and cheapest Mexican breakfasts can be found here. They have locations all around town. Try the chicken entomatadas and fresh squeezed orange juice.
Tacos A Go Go– Tacos A Go Go has expanded to Katy but they also have three locations near Downtown and 610. Their delicious tacos are cheap and just a couple will fill you up!
Cracker Barrel– With three Houston- area locations, and a huge menu, Cracker Barrel has everything you want. Their huge plates will leave you fully satisfied, just go early.
Tacos La Bala– This Mexican restaurant has locations all over Houston and an amazing burrito. Try the green sauce- just not too much!
Plantation BBQ– This might be a food truck but it’s one you don’t want to miss. This guy created the brisket taco and it’s the best brisket in Houston.
Chilosos Taco House– At Chilosos, you’ll get pioneer tacos and breakfast plates for less than $10. They have two locations in Houston and are moving into Eado!
Taqueria Del Sol– This Southeast staple of Mexican plates serves up fresh and delicious food all day. Their breakfasts are out of this world.
