Bayou City Cajun Festival

It’s that time of year again: the Bayou City Cajun Festival is returning for its 23rd straight year to bring Zydeco and swamp pop music, Cajun cuisine, and all the other ingredients for a great weekend of fun and food right here in Houston at Traders Village.

The 23rd Bayou City Cajun Festival will be at Traders Village Gray Expo on April 6-7. It’s totally free to get in, and just $4 to park.

Each day starting at noon, live music will kick things off. This year, the featured bands are Keyun and the Zydeco Masters, Bayou Roux, Platinum Players, and The Zydeco Dots. All of these acts are guaranteed to get you on your feet and keep the party going throughout the day.

While you’re listening to music and taking a break from dancing, chow down on delicious Cajun foods like crawfish, gumbo, Po’ boys, and more.

Once you’ve had your fill of Louisiana cuisine, stick around to stroll through the 150+ acres of open-air shopping Traders Village has to offer. You never know what you’re going to find there, but you’ll always find one thing: a great bargain.

After you’ve found your latest treasure, grab a $9.99 unlimited All Day Ride wristband to check out all of the classic amusement park rides at Traders Village like the Fleafall drop, the Pharaoh’s Fury pendulum gondola, the Star Dancer high-altitude carousel, the trackless “Dream” train, or the antique 1956 carousel.

Simply put, it’s a weekend of great music, delicious Cajun foods, and great bargains. What’s not to love?

The 23rd Bayou City Cajun Festival will be held all day on April 6 and 7 at Traders Village Houston, located at 7979 N Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, Texas 77041. Parking at Traders Village is always just $4, and peak shopping times are between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
