If you’ve ever been curious to attend horse racing — or already know you love it — Saturday, March 24, is the day to head to Sam Houston Race Park. It’s Dollar Day at the Park with tons of stuff for $1: admission, hot dogs, draft beer, sodas, ice cream, and live racing programs. And then a children’s petting zoo and free parking, to boot. Wow, sounds like a great deal for everyone! General admission tickets are normally $6 each.
Live horse racing begins at 7 pm with gates opening at 5:30 pm. Sam Houston Race Park is located at 7575 N. Sam Houston Parkway West of Beltway 8.
