6. Nia Cultural Center

 

Nia Cultural Center

The spectacular, 5,000 square foot art piece depicting the independence of Black people in Galveston may be seen on the outside of the building at the Juneteenth Legacy Project Headquarters art gallery. The gallery’s interior takes visitors on a trip through African American history from the 1800s to the current day. Local Black artists’ sculptures and paintings, as well as a reflection room, are on display in the gallery. At 22nd and Strand Street, the Juneteenth Legacy Headquarters are located.

7. Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum
