Waterfront & Seawall Views
Fisherman’s Wharf
Fisherman’s Wharf is a place where both young and old will have a good time. Families will enjoy the seaside view, summer vibes, and delicious seafood-heavy menu. They even carry Kids Meals.
While they do not have a dedicated play space for kids, my little ones always love looking at all the cool boats docked. They also have high chairs available.

Nick’s Kitchen & Beach Bar
With the island’s largest beer selection, parents like me can relax alongside their kids at this Seawall restaurant. Treat yourself to one of the many seafood choices, including the “fattest” po’boys, while your children enjoy a PB&J, grilled cheese, or some shrimp of their own.

If you’re looking for nice, more upscale family restaurants, Galveston offers Will G’s has a lot to offer. Seaside views, friendly vibes, and great food. What else could a family like mine ask for? There are cocktails adults can enjoy and a kids’ menu that the young ones will love!

With several HDTVs for you to cheer on your favorite team, you’ll have a great bonding experience with the kiddos. Sports not your thing? Don’t worry – this is a great place to enjoy some seafood, a burger, or a delicious milkshake while taking in some of the incredible Gulf views from the multi-level patios.
Play Space/High Chairs: The Spot has a play space where kids can eat and have fun! For the kiddos who aren’t so good on their legs yet, they can use the high chairs provided.

Shrimp ‘N Stuff
With two locations in Galveston, Shrimp ‘N Stuff is one of the great kid-friendly restaurants in Galveston. It’s been around for decades and is perfect for families with have crustacean cravings.. The kids’ menu features popcorn shrimp or fried fish with French fries or hush puppies, a cookie, and a small drink. There are also a few chicken options if your kids are like mine and prefer turf over surf.

Yaga’s Cafe

Yaga’s Cafe surely deserves to be on this list of Galveston kid-friendly restaurants. A restaurant whose motto is Peace, Love, and Soul, it serves up salads, burgers, pizzas, and much more. They even have a “Lil Rastas” menu featuring several kid favorites, all served with your choice of mandarin oranges or fries. It’s super close to the Galveston Railroad Museum, so it’s the perfect place to grab a bite once you’ve had your fill of trains.

For over 26 years, The Sunflower Bakery & Cafe has been keeping families happy, making it an incredible kid-friendly restaurants in Galveston. Starting from a small bakery and now a full-on restaurant, they have quite an expansive menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that young and old alike will love. Burgers and sweet treats are for everyone!

With an extensive kids’ menu and a fun indoor ride, I think the Rainforest Cafe is definitely one of the best restaurants for kids in Galveston! The decor, food, and overall vibe make this place the best place for families to have a fun day out
Play Space/High Chairs: No, Rainforest Cafe does not have a play space. They might have something better. The Rainforest River Adventure ride will take you all on an indoor “rainforest” adventure with animatronic animals, simulated thunderstorms, waterfalls, and so much more! While dining, kids can sit in the high chairs available.

Galveston Island Brewing (Craft Brew & Pub with Kid-Friendly Fare)
If the grownups in your group want a local craft brew and the kids want something simple but tasty, Galveston Island Brewing offers an appealing balance. They serve a full lunch/dinner menu with burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and salads, and they also have a children’s menu. While there’s no dedicated kids’ play area, the relaxed pub vibe and booths make it easy for families to dine comfortably. They offer high chairs for the littler ones.
