At the heart of the festival, over 250 juried artists from across the nation will showcase their original works, spanning 19 diverse disciplines. Here, you can explore and purchase unique paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photography, and functional art. You can also meet the artists and discuss their works with them.
Bayou City Arts Festival 2025 Featured Artist
This year’s festival features the mesmerizing work of watercolor artist Gwendolyn Redfern from Raleigh, North Carolina. Known for her ability to fuse abstract cityscapes with the rhythm of music and raw human emotion, Redfern transforms everyday urban structures such as streets, bridges, and towering buildings into dynamic, thought-provoking masterpieces. Her signature blend of bold geometric forms and fluid watercolor techniques creates a stunning contrast, bringing movement and energy to each piece.
An exhibition showcasing the works of the top 30 finalists from the Middle School Art Competition will also be featured.
Activities and Entertainment
Beyond the art, the festival boasts two entertainment stages featuring live music and performances that reflect Houston’s rich cultural tapestry. Some performers include DJ Casio and the SambaBom Dancers, the Westbury High Showcase, The Armov Trio, and the Yansa Samada Band. You’ll also see various other performers spread throughout the grounds such as hula hoop artists and stilt walkers.

Families are encouraged to visit the Active Imagination Zone, designed to inspire and engage young, budding artists through interactive art activities.
If you’re a foodie, you can indulge in a variety of cuisines at the food truck park or watch live cooking demonstrations by top local chefs at the Chef’s Culinary Arts Stage. There will also be craft beer and wine gardens where you can find the perfect beverages to pair with your food.
Bayou City Arts Festival 2025 – Date, Hours, and Tickets

The 2025 Bayou City Arts Festival will take over downtown for the whole weekend from March 29 – 30, 2025 at 10 am – 6 pm daily, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore and take in all the art the event offers.
Tickets
- Early bird tickets: $18 for adults | $5 for kids aged 5 – 12 | $15 per person for groups of eight adults or more
- After March 17, 2025: $20 for adults
- General admission weekend pass: $30 for adults
- VIP Tickets: $75
NOTE: Tickets are only available online. Hard copy tickets will not be sold at the gate of the event.

The festival will be held in Downtown Houston at 1000 Bagby St., Houston, TX 77002

The festival itself doesn’t offer on-site parking, however, there are plenty of paid parking options throughout the Downtown area including Theater District Parking and nearby surface lots and garages. These are all mostly within walking distance of the festival’s three entrance gates.

VIP pass holders will receive parking passes to the event’s provided parking garage.
There will also be a Patron Art Pick-up Area where you can store large pieces of art you’ve purchased from the event. Once you’re ready to take it home, you can line up on the pick-up lane and have them put straight into your car.
