Teenagers can  try their hands at science in the Houston Museum of Natural Science with hands-on activities in the interactive exhibits. They’ll dig for fossils, dissect virtual frogs, and pilot a spaceship simulator.

Rice University campus

Rice University is home to a real-life college adventure. Teens are free to roam hidden green spaces and check out the stunning architecture.

They can explore the Evelyn Zhuang Pavilion, get lost in the Fondren Library’s labyrinthine stacks, take photos with the Bison Statue of the university mascot, and relax in the Sally & William Neustadt Jewish Center courtyard.

Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land

At the Museum of Natural Science, teens can see exhibits and join hands-on activities that allow them to explore the history of dinosaurs, crystals, and more.

While the T-Rex is an awesome attraction, they can also visit the Cockrell Butterfly Center, as well as the Science Zone and Discovery Center for interesting experiments.

NASA Space Center Houston

With interactive exhibits and immersive displays, teens will feel like they’ve traveled to the cosmos. They can even walk beneath the Saturn Y Rocket and peer into the Independence Plaza Shuttle replica.

Other than ogling at the majestic ships, they can experience G-Force and feel weightless in astronaut training. They’ll be able to touch Moonrock, too.

Bayou Wildlife Zoo

Teenagers can meet some awesome exotic animals at the Bayou Wildlife Zoo. It’s a wild wetland where they can witness Bengal tigers lounging, otters getting playful in crystal-clear pools, zebras grazing on the plains, and so much more!

To get even more immersed, they can join a guided kayak safari, paddling through the tranquil waters.

Houston Zoo
