Best Summer Camps in Pearland (Educational & STEM)
Kids U at UHCL Pearland
Every summer, the Center for Educational Programs at the University of Houston–Clear Lake opens its doors to kids through the KidsU Summer Camp program, and it’s one of the few camps in Pearland where your child actually gets to spend their days on a real university campus.
Your campers can choose from a rotating lineup of classes that includes claymation, intro to graphic design, game design and development, Roblox, animation, bookmaking, creating with Canva, and more.
The program serves students from pre-kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, with camps covering science, math, literacy, technology, and cultural exploration, all led by university faculty who actually know their subject.
If your kid is the type who gets bored easily, the variety of weekly themes gives you plenty of options to keep the summer interesting.

Topics span game development, programming languages like Python, Java, and JavaScript, robotics, and digital arts all taught through hands-on projects that campers actually finish and take pride in.
More advanced campers can program drones to navigate obstacle courses using Python, pitch a startup idea in front of a panel, and 3D print their own prototypes.

The summer camp runs as an education-forward day program for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade, staffed entirely by board-certified teachers, with Math and English instruction built into every single day.
That doesn’t mean it feels like school, though. Alongside core academics, campers can choose enrichment electives like Public Speaking, Creative Writing, or Science Lab, which tend to be the parts kids actually brag about later.

The daily mix also keeps things moving so younger campers stay engaged all week without burning out on any one activity.
Beyond the summer camp, Alpha Omega also teaches gymnastics, dance, ninja warrior, tumbling, aerial acrobatics, cheerleading, and rhythmic gymnastics, so if your child falls in love with something during the week, there’s a year-round class waiting for them.

Camp Mahalo serves kids entering 6th through 9th grade, with a program focused on building confidence, social skills, and leadership, and it also includes a weekly field trip on Thursdays.

Whether your child is just starting in a sport or wants to sharpen their skills before tryout season, training inside Pearland ISD’s facilities with coaches who know the program gives them a real edge.

Creative Arts & Music Summer Camps
School of Rock Pearland
School of Rock Pearland is built around one goal: getting kids on a real stage they’ll enjoy. Every summer camp, no matter the theme or skill level, works toward a live performance that friends and family come to watch.
Students spend the week learning songs, rehearsing as a band, and building the kind of confidence that only comes from actually performing in front of a crowd.
The Rock 101 camp is designed for complete beginners ages 7–12 — no experience needed — and uses musical games and activities to help kids get comfortable on their instrument in a supportive environment.
Older or more experienced students can go further. The Songwriting Camp walks students through writing original songs over three days and then takes them to a professional recording studio for the final two.
Instruments available include guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals, so there’s a spot for every kind of musician, whether they’ve never touched an instrument or have been playing for years.
- When: June 1 – August 7, 2026
- Where: 3422 Business Center Dr, Pearland, TX 77584

Monart School of Art Pearland
Monart School of Art Pearland isn’t a camp where kids do crafts and go home with glitter on their hands. It teaches actual drawing technique, and the difference shows up in the work kids produce by the end of the week.
The Monart method starts with the five basic elements of shape and guides students step by step toward more complex, expressive artwork, building real skill rather than just letting kids doodle freely. Every camper builds a personal portfolio across the week.
The Pearland campus has four art classrooms, a fashion design atelier with changing rooms, a ceramics studio with in-house kiln firing, a community library, and a large outdoor garden.
For kids interested in digital work, the camp also offers graphic design, computer animation, game design, and coding using Apple laptops and Wacom tablets with professional software.

Specialized Interest Camps
Camp PELICAN (Pearland Parks)
Camp PELICAN — Pearland Environmental Learning Institute for Conservation, Adventure and Nature — runs out of the Delores Fenwick Nature Center, and it’s one of the most genuinely unique summer camp options in the city.
The camp is designed to bring children and teens closer to nature, with each day built around exploration, hands-on experiments, and educational lessons focused on Texas native wildlife, habitats, and environmental science.
The kids will go on hikes, hunt for clues on nature scavenger hunts, try their hand at archery, and work through team-building challenges, all while learning from the city’s own trained Natural Resources staff who lead these programs year-round.
- When: June 1 – July 27, 2026
- Where: 5750 Magnolia Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77584

Children’s Learning Adventure
Children’s Learning Adventure Pearland is one of those camps where kids genuinely don’t know what to expect next and that’s entirely the point.
The facility includes a full-scale culinary kitchen, a performance theater, a professional TV newsroom, an indoor basketball court, outdoor tennis courts, bowling alleys, and more.
No two days look the same, and that variety is exactly what keeps kids engaged all summer long.
The program is built around STEAM-based learning, but it doesn’t feel academic. A child might spend the morning learning to measure and cook in the kitchen, perform in the theater after lunch, and go outside for sports before pickup.
- When: Flexible schedules – You get to choose when your kid attends
- Where: Varies
- How much: $50
Character Camp Pearland
Character Camp does something most summer programs don’t make time for. It focuses on the kind of person your child is becoming, not just what they’re learning to do.
The camp builds its program around character development through interactive workshops, team-building activities, and leadership exercises, teaching kids practical life skills like empathy, resilience, and communication.
The program weaves in STEM content, including robotics, coding, and software, so campers walk away with both technical skills and the mindset to use them responsibly. For parents who want their child to come home with more than just a new hobby, this is the camp worth looking into.
- When: July 5 – 10, 2026
- Where: Get to know after registration
- How much: $550
