Dasher’s Lightshow Houston 2023 – What to expect?
Dasher’s Lightshow is an interactive cruise through a winter wonderland that is perfectly tailored for all ages. Drive through mesmerizing tunnels decorated with twinkling lights and sparkling giant Christmas trees. You can also hook up your car to a hyper-local radio station and let the music serenade you as thousands of lights glow in sync with it.

Happy festive figures like the Grinch will be greeting you along the almost one-mile journey, making the experience even more exciting. You can also enjoy amusement park rides, axe throwing, archery, a petting zoo, hayrides, Santa, movies, and many more. The organizers have also created an inflatable obstacle course for you and the whole family to explore.

Dasher’s Lightshow 2023 – Dates
For 2023, Dasher Light Show will be bringing holiday cheer from November 17 till December 31.

How long is the Dasher’s Lightshow?
This year, Dasher’s Lightshow features a new show and a longer route at the Sam Houston Race Park location. This means more Christmas lights and more attractions to see. The length of the ride depends on how fast you go and how many cars are in attendance. But it’s recommended you drive at an idle speed of 1 mph to enjoy all the sights. Going at this pace will take you 20 minutes to finish the route. The same recommendations apply to the Big Rivers location.
What Kinds of Vehicles Are Allowed in the Dasher’s Lightshow?
Normal passenger vehicles are allowed into the show. This includes cars, vans, and trucks. There will be no buses, trailers, limousines, oversized vans, or other larger vehicles allowed.
Can You Get Out Of Your Vehicle?
If you need to use the restroom, you may get down while waiting in the queue. However, once you’ve entered the drive-thru show, no one is allowed to exit their vehicle.
Dasher’s Lightshow Houston & Winterland 2023 – Tickets
Dashers Light Show tickets start at $9.95 per person (w/o fees and taxes). They also have bundles for tickets and merch.
For the Big Rivers location, 2023 season pass holders will get free access to the festival’s walk-through portion and amusement rides. Tickets for the drive-thru are sold separately.

Dasher’s Winterland Houston – Information about Tickets
- Every date offers 10 different time windows, so you can select the one that works best for you. To purchase a drive-through ticket, select a day and a 30-minute slot.
- You get to skip the wait for an extra $25 with the purchase of their VIP Pass or if there is no line on the night you visit, your pre-purchase will earn you a second trip through the performance on the same night!
- Online ticket buyers will get an electronic ticket with a barcode or QR code along with a confirmation email. Upon entering, the scanner will scan your electronic ticket.
