Bumper and Cruiser Boats at Discovery Green

Cool off and make a splash in the heart of downtown Houston by spinning, twirling, and steering motorized bumper boats or gliding leisurely across Kinder Lake. 

You can race your friends in the boat basin or take a relaxing cruise under a shaded canopy in an electric-powered boat for the ultimate urban adventure. 

Bumper boat rides last 5 minutes and hold up to two people with a maximum combined weight of 275 pounds, while cruiser boats accommodate up to five people for 15-minute rides. 

Children under 12 or 17, depending on the boat type, must be accompanied by an adult and wear life vests. Visitors can easily purchase tickets in advance to check in at the chrome kiosk upon arrival.
