Celebrate National Barbecue Day at Prime 131, a Berg Hospitality original concept where fire and flavor reign supreme. Nestled in a revamped industrial space at The Docks at Timbergrove, this live-fire steakhouse and sushi bar offers an upscale Korean Barbeque experience, complete with your choice of the rarest cuts of meat, including USDA Prime, Australian Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Wagyu. Additional accompaniments include a spicy and tart Kimchi Stew ($16), USDA Prime Beef Bone Soup ($18), and Bibimpop ($19).

Puttshack Houston

Puttshack Houston is putting a fun spin on barbecue just in time for National BBQ Day. This tech-driven mini golf spot is serving up dishes like the Texas Tailpipes—spring rolls filled with smoked brisket mac ‘n cheese, with chipotle BBQ and buttermilk ranch dipping sauces on the side. To make these spring rolls even tastier, $1 of every purchase goes to the Houston Food Bank. Also on the menu is The Pitmaster flatbread, topped with smoked chicken, BBQ sauce, smoked Gouda, red onion, and jalapeños. It’s a fresh take on BBQ in a lively setting, paired with a strong craft cocktail lineup and some friendly competition.

The Pit Room

Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, The Pit Room, in both Montrose and Memorial, will be celebrating National Barbecue Day with all-day happy hour specials.
