La Calle Tacos & Tortas

This downtown taco and torta joint closes at 2 am every day of the week, while the midtown location stays open until 4 am Thursday-Saturday, making this one of the best restaurants open late in Houston.

Frank’s Pizza

For pizza, wings, burgers, salads, and other late-night eats, you can’t get much better than Frank’s. They’re open until 3 am Friday and Saturday. They also offer late-night food delivery until 3 am on those days.

 

Midtown

Jinya Ramen Bar Midtown

For hearty, delicious Ramen, there are six Jinya Ramen locations around Houston and two more coming soon.  Their Midtown location stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays serving up delicious late-night food in Houston.

Mai’s Restaurant

Well known as one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in Houston, this restaurant is open late every night except Sundays when they’re closed. Monday through Thursday, they close at 10 pm. They’re open until 3 am Friday and Saturday. Simply put, this late night Houston restaurant is an institution.

 

Washington

El Rey Taqueria

El Rey has four locations around Houston but most of them close at 10 or 11. Only the El Rey on Washington is open until 3 am Thursday through Saturday for some great late night food in Houston.

Ninja Ramen

The restaurant with the best Ramen also has a full, diverse bar. They’re open until 2 am Sunday through Thursday (closed Mondays). Fridays and Saturdays, they close at 3 am.

Velvet Taco

With two locations in Houston, you can be sure to get your street taco fix late into the night. Both locations are open until 10 pm Sunday through Thursday. They close at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Voodoo Doughnut

The popular donut spot finally made its debut in Houston in early 2020, and its amazing deep fried creations are available 24/7! So if you’re craving something different, this is certainly among the most unique 24/7 restaurants open late in Houston.

Shell Shack

Craving some crab legs or crawfish? This late night restaurant in Houston serves up delicious seafood until 2 am most nights although the kitchen usually closes at 1 am.

Cantina Barba

The Burger Joint

Houston’s favorite burger is waiting for you more often than not. The Heights location closes at 10 pm Sunday through Thursday. They’re open until midnight Friday and Saturday.

Katz Deli & Bar

There’s a reason they say Katz’s never closes- all of their locations are open 24 hours a day, including their new Heights spot at 2200 N. Shepherd!

Halal Guys

This popular restaurant has recently opened a few Houston area locations, including one in the Heights/Garden Oaks (3008 Ella) that’s open until midnight.

 

Montrose

Main Chick HTX

This hot chicken truck usually sets up shop in Montrose across from Empire Cafe. They’re open until midnight Sunday-Thursday and 2 am on Friday and Saturday.

Halal Guys

This popular restaurant has recently opened a few Houston area locations, including one in a Montrose (3821 Farnham) that’s open until 1 am Fridays and 4 am Saturdays and Sundays (midnight all other nights).

Velvet Taco

With two locations in Houston, you can be sure to get your street taco fix late into the night. Both locations are open until 10 pm Sunday through Thursday. They close at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

La Tapatia

For late-night Mexican, La Tapatia serves up plates well into the wee small hours. The Bellaire location closes at midnight Friday through Sunday.

BB’s Cafe

They’re not Cajun, they’re Tex-Cajun. This Tex-Orleans restaurant has several locations around Houston with various late night hours depending on the day and location.

Spanish Flowers Mexican Restaurant

This is one Mexican joint you’ll want to book a table with. Their location on Main is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday with other late night hours during the week. The location on the North Freeway stays open until 2 am on the weekend.

House of Pies
