The 4th of July kicks off at 10:00 am with a patriotic parade through downtown Texas City.
The route starts at 4th Ave. N. and 6th Street, travels north on 6th Street, turns left on Bay Street, and ends at 14th Ave. and Bay Street.
Lineup begins at 9:00 am, so get there early if you want a curbside view. Expect floats, marching bands, local organizations, and lots of flag-waving.

The Bayou Golf Course hosts its first-ever Independence Day Golf Classic, a 2-day tournament with 3 flights.
Day one (July 3rd) includes a 7:30 am shotgun start and a 1:00 pm shotgun start. Day two (July 4th) wraps up with a single 7:30 am morning flight.

Right after the parade, head to the 6th Street Community Plaza for Freedom Fest, a family-friendly block party running from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Waterfront Pyrotechnics Extravaganza
As soon as the concert wraps, the sky above Bay Street Park lights up with a massive fireworks display over the water. Reds, whites, and blues reflecting off the bay. It’s easily one of the most stunning shows in Galveston County.

Parking & logistics
Free parking is available at Bay Street Park and surrounding municipal lots. But here’s the thing: this is one of the biggest single-day events in the region, and spots near the waterfront fill up early in the afternoon.
Carpool if you can. And bring a flashlight for the walk back to your car after the fireworks.
Make it a full-day trip
Before the evening festivities, take a drive down the Texas City Dike, the longest man-made fishing pier in the world at 5.3 miles into Galveston Bay. You can fish, walk the trails, or just take in the views.
You can also hit up the Texas City Museum (free on July 3rd!) at 409 6th St N to learn about the city’s history before heading to Bay Street Park for the concert.

Food trucks will line the park during the evening events, but if you want a sit-down meal beforehand, Texas City has solid options on Emmett F Lowry Expressway.
