You can listen and jam to three live bands or explore the vendor market, food trucks, bounce houses, and obstacle courses.

The parade begins at 11 a.m., followed by festival activities starting at noon at the Rotary Pavilion. 

As you move through the day’s festivities, you also support a meaningful cause, since proceeds help fund scholarships for Texas City students.

Galveston is bringing back its Cinco de Mayo parade after 30 years as LULAC 151 leads a celebration of Mexican heritage, culture, and community. 

Music, food, and shared tradition will fill the streets as families, performers, and neighbors gather for a day built around connection and cultural pride.

You can even take part in the parade itself, joining dancers, musicians, decorated floats, car clubs, and costumes inspired by Mexican traditions. 

The celebration will begin with an 11:30 AM lineup social with snacks, then move into a 1:00 PM parade roll, where you can step into the streets in folklórico dress, charro outfits, or festive Cinco de Mayo attire as the community comes together in motion.
