Hermann Park Conservancy Rides have always been popular among parents and kids who love to explore the various attractions across the park. But August 6 is extra special. On this day, the park gears up to celebrate the 178th birthday of George Hermann and offers exclusive $1.78 train rides for kids aged 12 and under. However, that’s not it. There’s a lot more with Ginger Italian and Gelu Italian Ice specials!

Hermann Park Conservancy Train Rides at $1.78 for Children 12 and Under

The Hermann Park Railroad is a two-mile and 16-minute journey around Hermann Park. The train departs from Kinder Station every 25 – 30 minutes. It stops at three stations to allow riders to get on or off at various points of interest across the park. The stops include the M. D. Anderson Train Station across from the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Sunset stop with access to METRORail and Rice University, and the corner of Cambridge and Fannin with access to the Texas Medical Center and Buddy Carruth Playground for All Children.

The train hours are Monday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. However, the operating hours may change, depending on weather conditions. Tickets will be on sale at the Hermann Park Conservancy Gift Shop at Kinder Station in Lake Plaza.  The location is 6102 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030.
