Where to get free or cheap back to school immunizations in Houston

HARRIS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH

For those who are uninsured, under-insured, or receive Medicaid or CHIP, a visit to Harris County Public Health is quick and easy! Most vaccines are $15 or less and many are even free! You’ll have to call to make an appointment. They have 2 locations in Houston:

  • Southeast Clinic- 3737 Red Bluff Rd, Pasadena TX 77503 {713.740.5000}

 

THE VACCINE CLINIC

For people who are uninsured, under-insured, receive CHIP or Medicaid or can pay cash, this affordable clinic brings immunizations to the community. For children who are uninsured, each visit is just $10! That includes the checkup and immunizations.

  • Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
  • Saturdays, 8 am to 12 noon
  • Call 713.695.2205 for an appointment!

 

TEXAS CHILDREN’S MOBILE CLINIC

Texas Children’s Hospital has a mobile clinic offering free vaccines to children who are uninsured, under-insured, or insured by Medicaid or CHIP. Be sure to get there early.

TROUBLESHOOTERS IMMUNIZATIONS

This local health program is available to Harris County Residents who are income-eligible. You must be at 150% of the Federal Poverty Level or below and some patients may need to pay a sliding scale fee. See if you qualify for services.

 

HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT MOBILE CLINIC

The HFD has a community outreach program offering free vaccines to kids from age birth to 18 years old. The Mobile Clinic has three more dates coming up in 2019. Each visit is from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
